Will Smith tries to reconnect with Chris Rock

Will Smith s slap in the face of Chris Rock at the Oscars after a bad joke needs no introduction. Smith offered an apology beforehand, but today he filed an official mea-culpa on his YouTube channel.

“I’ve communicated with Chris and the message that came back to me is that he’s not ready to talk to me. But when he is, he will communicate with me,” Will Smith said.

Despite this, Smith, 53, was keen to again convey a sincere apology to his 57-year-old colleague.

“So I’m going to say, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’ll be there when you’re ready to talk. I’m human and I made a mistake and then I try not to think of myself as a piece of m*ssy!” he said.
