Hunter Biden sues Rudy Giuliani

U.S. President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is suing Rudy Giuliani in civil court and Robert Costello, his former attorney, claiming that they violated federal and state computer privacy laws by attempting to hack into his laptop and caused the “total annihilation” of his digital privacy.

According to a source close to Hunter Biden to CNN: “Everyone involved in stealing and manipulating Hunter’s data should be hearing footsteps right about now”, suggesting that others could also be sued in civil court by Hunter Biden’s legal team.

Hunter Biden accuses Giuliani and Costello of hacking, falsifying, manipulating, copying, disseminating and generally obsessing over the data on his stolen laptop.

The civil suit against Giuliani joins two other lawsuits filed by Hunter Biden in recent weeks, when he filed a civil suit, also in connection with his laptop, against Garrett Ziegler, Trump’s former White House aide, and he also sued the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), claiming that his tax information had been illegally disclosed and his private records had not been properly protected.

Remember that this whole story about Hunter Biden’s laptop refers to a controversial story that emerged during the 2020 US presidential election, when a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, the son of then Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, was discovered.

The laptop was reportedly left at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019, and John Paul Mac Isaac, the store’s owner, claimed to have discovered emails and other data on the laptop there that raised questions about Hunter Biden’s business dealings, in particular with a Ukrainian energy company called Burisma Holdings.

Mac Isaac claimed to have several copies of Biden’s illegally obtained laptop data, which he then sent to Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer.

While the son of the US President is still under investigation for his business dealings, he was indicted on federal firearms charges on September 14.

He is accused of lying about his drug use when he purchased a firearm in October 2018. During that time, Hunter Biden allegedly admitted to suffering from a crack addiction, according to the indictment filed in Delaware federal court.

The indictment against him comes just weeks after a failed plea bargain that would have allowed the president’s son to avoid a trial.

While Hunter Biden reportedly intends to plead not guilty to this charge, his run-ins with the law are far from over!
