Meet Flossie, the oldest cat in the world!

The Guinness World Records presented Flossie, the oldest cat in the world, who is 27 years old, which gives about 120 years in human age.

The cat in question is a female of British origin, she is brown and black in color, and despite being visually impaired and practically deaf, her health is very good.

The cat’s new owner, Vicki Green, spoke fondly of Flossie:

“I knew from the start that Flossie was a special cat, but I never imagined that I would be sharing my home with a world record holder! She is so affectionate and playful, which is especially sweet when you remember her age. I am immensely proud that Cats Protection found me such an amazing cat!”

Mrs. Green is not the first owner as Flossie has been in several homes since she was born in 1995, including a stray kitten. After that, she spent 10 years with another person, and when that person passed away four years later, she spent three years with the son of the second owner… ending up with Cats Protection and Vicki Green.

From here, will Flossie be able to break the all-time longevity record of a 38 year and three day old cat named Crème Puff who passed away on August 6, 2005?

FORD to recall 634,000 SUVs that could catch fire

FORD to recall more than 634,000 SUVs due to a cracked fuel injector that could allow fuel to escape, causing a hot engine fire.

The company says it has received a total of 20 reports where a fire occurred in the engine. Of those, three were monstrous, damaging the car and nearby structures.

Five other complaints mention that a fire occurred five minutes after the engine was shut down, and four others indicate minor injuries (but no burns).

There are 43 legal complaints filed so far…

At this time, FORD is unable to repair any of the possibly affected vehicles, but as soon as they are able to take action, affected owners will be sent a letter and will need to make an appointment with the nearest dealer immediately.

Once there, if your vehicle is among the affected lot, a car will obviously be loaned from the dealership if the repair takes a few days.

In addition to checking and repairing if necessary, dealers will update the car’s software to detect a cracked injector. A warning light will come on in the dashboard if this is the case.

Note also that the warranty that covers this “defect” is 15 years or 240,000 kilometers.
